Castelão grapes from two different vineyards and two slightly different winemaking styles. The grapes from one plot were pressed after 2 days, the grapes from the other- gentle treading for a week until they were pressed. Finished in stainless steel vats
Super juicy light red. The grapes are stamped by foot in whole clusters and undergo a semi- carbonic fermentation. The barrels are not topped off and develop flor, giving the wine more depth and complexity, with notes of spicy cherry and blueberry

Extremely delicate to start, building to a grand crescendo of blackberry, blackcurrant, allspice with an earthy forest floor backbone running throughout. Well balanced and integrated silky tannins give the wine an elegant finish.
